Milky Way Widefield (imaged near Fort Davis, TX) |

The rising Milky Way is one of the highlights of each year's Texas Star Party. Skies are so dark that many first-timers (myself included) have thought that storm clouds are approaching. I imaged the region - from Scorpius to Cygnus - using color and Ha. I tried to process this image to look as it appears visually except for the Ha color addition. The image was taken at the 2014 Texas Star Party. Clicking the above image will bring up an image with a higher resolution and larger field of view. |
