An annular solar eclipse passed thru New Mexico on May 20, 2012. The centerline was well north of Las Cruces, but we enjoyed the show nonetheless. ASLC had a large organized event at a local church. I set up one of ASLC's solar telescopes. Hundreds of people stopped by for a look. The club sold solar sunglasses for the event. It was quite an event! Near solar maximum, I snapped a pic with my iPhone.
