During a total eclipse, it's possible to see planets and bright stars in the sky. It's also possible to bring out details of the lunar surface. The image (above) shows both. The west was afire during the summar of 2017. I drove past large fires in Oregon on the way to Idaho. There was some smoke in the air which slightly limited the number of stars I could find. Clicking on the image will bring up a full size rendition. |
